Served duty as the Assistant Weapons Officer/Weapons Leading Petty Officer, I supervise military and civilian personnel in their duties of monthly inventories of all munitions items using standard Navy supply forms. Coordinated and supervised all work involved in the identification, examination, classification, acceptance of weapons, ordnance, explosives to include receiving, storage, selecting and shipping specialized materials and equipment. As a Quality Assurance and Safety Observer I examined and determined the condition, handling, stowage, packing, and build up of various types of ordnance and explosives. Supervised the upkeep and maintenance of 23 weapons magazines and stowage spaces in support of combat and training operations. Experienced operator in Retail Ordnance Logistic Management System (ROLMS) database to include ordnance inventory, supply management, requisitions, verify receipt, issue and disposition of ammunition and explosives. Planed, organized, and controls all supply activities in the records section of the weapons and ranges division. Knowledge and understanding of all Marine Corps and Naval ammunition management/accounting systems.
